Guild mates are constantly getting upset with one another over someone attacking someone and how far back they got sent. Game mechanics don't allow guilds to set up any House Rules about guild mates attacking guild mates in the arena. Until now, I've just asks members to discuss it in open forum so there are no hard feelings.
As our server only has two real active guilds on it, it's becoming much more problematic.
So, I put it to an open forum to discuss. What are good House Rules if any for guild mates to follow concerning PvP in the arena.
Personally, I know I can get from Rank 200-1 with 5 try's and before the buzzer, and I've proved I can do it on all none guild mates, so I consider myself open game to anyone willing to step up to bat.

As I see it there are two issues here.
1) Common courtesy towards fellow guild mates. Some people view the guild as a team (as I do), others as simply a means to an end. For me, I only attack members of other guilds in arena unless I accidentally attack a guild mate while in an occasional rush or I am attacked by a guild mate, at which point I will usually retaliate. I rarely even go for rank 1 at the bell if a member of my guild holds it. I just don't think fellow guild members should be targets.
2) For those of us that do jockey for rank at the buzzer (I do it about half the time) I wait until 30 seconds are left to attack my target. If I am beat by anybody during the last minute and knocked out of position where I cannot attack that target, I have to scramble very quickly to find a non-Legion member to attack. Suddenly a well thought out attack becomes a chaotic search for a target with no thought put into the appropriate offense. Now, if a non Legion member does that to me then so be it, but it is especially frustrating when a fellow guild member is the culprit.
What is the solution? I think the following makes sense:
Guiding Principal - Guild members are STRONGLY encouraged to always attack non-guild members in arena. We are a team, and should act as such.
Rule #1 - If you are unable to find a non-guild member to attack and you feel you must attack a fellow guild mate, please limit their fall in ranking by only attacking members within the same group of 10 as you are ranked. For example someone ranked 47 can attack another guild member ranked 40 to 46 but should not attack a guild member ranked 39 or below.
Rule #2 - Unless you are ranked in the top 10 and are attempting to achieve rank 1 though 5 do not attack a fellow guild member within 20 minutes of "the bell". Providing this cushion allows for your fellow guild members to conduct coordinated and strategic attacks against non-guild members who are also in the top 10 at the bell.

Our guild has decided that we have no hard feelings attacking each other, but its always a battle of 1 or 2 ranks not like 20+. We've never had issues, and we have friendly competition in the guild. I dont think we have ever had big bumps last minute, so I guess our server is just a bit nicer than most haha. I do think that having a limit for how many ranks above, you can attack would be good though.
