I am at a loss whether to put the money on the table to progress to VIP 11 and unlock Dolphin Pond. I understood you can get Pegasus from it, but that's pretty much all I know.
So maybe somebody could elaborate a bit: How does it work (time, crystals, both, how long/many)? And what does it typically yield? Thanks in advance for enlightening the uninitiated .

For Dolphin you need 400 crystals per wish. Usually you can win 5 soulstones for one of the 3 heroes that appear (they are changed every week), gold and Exp Tomes. You also have a chance to win Pegassus (for now it's the only one).

Its 400 gems a draw. The chance to get pegasus is 10-30%, diffrent result for diffrent members of my guild. Im at low end of the %. From the draws you get A) Either a full pegasus, or 2-5 hero shards. And B) Lots of gold And C) Chance to obtain rare items. Hope this helps

The dolphin pond is best used - as a wish or two/three in a day (instead of doing multiple wishes in one single day). You will increase your chance of getting pegasus soulstones each day once rather then getting more stones in one day. Albeit it is a longer process then

The anecdotal evidence of your experience, where you have an n of less than 10 and didn't even bother to record your results, and just posted your confirmation bias?

I have have guildmates with 5* Pegasuses so the n is a lot more than 10. The value per gem from the Dolphin pond seems to be higher than the goldfish pond if for no other reason than the goldfish pond seems to give you garbage 70% of the time.

It cost $250 to achieve VIP 11 from Vip 0. Keep that in mind.
